Will you become our new: F&B Supervisor?

We are currently looking for the right individual who will contribute to the success of a smooth, efficient running Food and Beverage operation. You will be co-supporting the responsibility of the daily restaurant & bar performance, quality standards and health & safety of the restaurant.

As part of the hotel, and with 240 seats and a large outside terrace, the All-Day Dining Restaurant caters to both hotel and exterior guest and offers every day a sumptuous breakfast (up to 650 guests), and for lunch and dinner an international a la carte menu including a touch of our renowned Swiss Mövenpick food and beverage heritage. You will be looking after, supported by the Restaurant & Bar Manager, of the Lobby & Lounge Bar and In-room Dining besides the All-Day Dining Restaurant.  The F&B team consists of 20 staff members, including one (1) Restaurant & Bar Manager, four (4) Supervisors and all-round F&B waiters.

Your main responsibilities and tasks:  
  • Assists and supports Restaurant & Bar (Assistant) Mgr. in the (daily) responsibility of overall business performance within All-Day Dining Restaurant plus Lobby & Lounge Bar;
  • Takes full responsibility of the restaurant shift, in absence of;
  • Trains and motivate staff;
  • Ensure operational policies and brand standards are being met/delivered;
  • Ensure quality of restaurant set-up and service preparations. Ensure staff is briefed before the beginning of every shift;
  •  Maintains interdepartmental communication and co-operation with other F&B outlets, kitchen, purchasing and stewarding to achieve F&B Department goals / KPI’s;
  • Proposes Food & Beverage or non-food recommendations, as is active in identifying local / international Food & Beverage trends;
  • Takes pride in responding to guest queries and comments
  • Monitors quality of service levels and suggest actions to further improve scores;
  • Meet and greet guests, offers advice about the menu & wine choices and is handling complaints;
  • Check employees’ attitude and appearance;
  • Prepares reports at the end of a shift, day or period, including staff control, hygiene, and health and safety
  • Checks stock levels, order supplies and prepare cash drawers and petty cash

Requirements
You are a team player a true people’s person, professional, dynamic, creative, enjoy a challenge, whom is passionate about Food & Beverage. You enjoy creating ownership, and building relationships with your team and guests to achieve the maximum results. Your second name could be “Passion” or “Training”. You enjoy working as part of a larger Food and Beverage team.
 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ successful experience as junior manager in a similar (international) 4- or 5-star (hotel) restaurant environment;
  • Representative and out-going character with an eye for (service) details
  • Has the drive and passion to make continuous changes and improvements;
  • Proven capabilities build colleague & guest loyalty/satisfaction;
  • Preferably a social hygiene certificate.
  • Preferably a BHV certificate.
  • Preferably a certificate of (Dutch) HACCP rules and regulations.
  • Preferably a certificate of Allergy regulations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, interpersonal and networking skills;
  • Is knowledgeable about POS cashier systems;
  • Capable to work with Excel / Word software
  • Fluent in English and preferably in Dutch; in both verbal and in writing.

We are a member of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland and operate according to the Dutch labor agreement.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts offers:
  •  Full-time contract of 38 hours per week
  • This position is classified in scale 5 with a salary between the €2012,12 - €2474,68 gross per month according to the Horeca CAO.
  • 25 vacation days per year
  • Travel allowance up to €150,- per month, based on the amount of km.
  • Night allowance of 20% and Sunday allowance of 5%
