Let’s introduce myself, my name is Francisca, and I am the HR Business Partner working at Pestana Amsterdam Riverside, a beautiful monumental hotel along the Amstel River where we are looking for passionate colleagues to join our team. What we are looking for?
Pestana Amsterdam Riverside is looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to amaze our guests with your excellent cooking skills to prepare the dishes according to the chef’s specification. The position involves aiding in the coaching of the kitchen team, as you will oversee your own cooking station. You will work closely with the Sous chef optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
 
What you are doing:

• Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues.
• Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
• Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.).
• Follow the guidance of the Head chef and provide input in new presentations or dishes.
• Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
• Cook food in various utensils or grillers.

We expect someone that:

• Speaks English/Dutch;
• Has prior experience in a similar position;
• Has the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure;
• Understands different cooking practices;
• Has some managerial and coaching skills;
• Is motivated and stress resistant;
• Is familiar with HACCP;
• Is flexible and willing to work on weekends and holidays when needed.
