For the Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam we are looking for a Guest Service Agent (0-hours).
WHAT WILL YOU ACTUALLY BE DOING?
You are approachable and flexible by nature and you love everything to be just right, which means you will feel perfectly at home in this team.
Regarding the role, it’s as the job title says really, you are out in the front looking after our guests. You are the one who our guests first interact with, so it’s key that you know your stuff.
It’s a physical role and you will be on your feet most of the day, so fitness will be key for you, although reasonable adjustments will be made where we can. There’s a lot of people around in the hotel, so you will need to be able communicate well with everyone. We would love it if you were multi-lingual, but it’s not essential.
You will interact with guests throughout the day, making sure they have everything they need.
HOW DO YOU WOW OUR GUESTS?
You are responsible for giving our hotel the ‘wow’ factor to our guests during their stay with us. You’ll create that welcoming atmosphere and make sure everything is just right and exceeds our guests’ expectations by being efficient in your work and knowledgeable about everything in the hotel, making sure you add your personal touch to it.
You’ll make sure the guests are checked in and out smoothly, their bill is accurate, provide information about the hotel and work with your colleagues in the Concierge and Housekeeping teams to make sure everything is perfect. Yes, we have standards and procedures, but it’s down to you to make their stay special and memorable.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THE HOTEL SUCCESSFUL?
You can help with this by being organised, know any special occasions being celebrated and what’s going on in the hotel and local area and any big events going on. You will be efficient and tidy in your work so you are ready to go at the start of each day.
You can also help by working closely with the other teams in the hotels by reporting damage and repairs quickly and accurately.
Bring your creativity into your role by sharing any ideas that you have to make things even better.
Image is key to us so we will make sure you look the part, supplying a smart uniform so you can be really proud to work with us.
