The perfect candidate has:  
  • Energizing, enthusiastic, creative and a commercial mindset
  • Experience in hotels with a MICE and Corporate focus
  • “Yes we can” mentality
  • An active networker with a hunter mentality
  • Result driven and a couple of years’ experience in sales management in the 4 or 5 star hotel market
  • Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language
  • The analytical ability to interpret reports and to translate these into action plans
  • Team player with the ability to communicate on different management levels
  • You are a perfect fit in our young and dynamic team

What do we have to offer you:
  • Full-time contract of 38 hours per week
  • This position is classified in scale 7/8 with a salary between the €2.329 - €3.199 gross per month according to the Horeca CAO. Based on work experience.

The main responsibilities include:
  • Coaching and guidance to junior sales colleagues.  
  • Managing and growing of existing accounts, development of new partnerships, developing MICE and corporate business
  • Qualifying of incoming MICE and corporate requests for proposals (RFP’s)
  • Pro-actively work on assigned international markets (including visiting fairs and events) to improve relationships and customer loyalty
  • Work alongside the Conference & Events department to ensure mutual targets are being achieved.
  • Optimize your sales activities to achieve targets
  • Detailed registration of your sales activities in the CRM system
  • Supporting coordinated sales activities and administrative work
  • Creation of a yearly market development plan including activity planner
  • Visit (potential) accounts, present about our facilities and concepts and special promotions
  • Welcome accounts in the hotel and organize site inspections and fam trips
  • Discuss the requirements of the client and qualify this to successfully close contracts and partnerships.
  • You will be part of the commercial cluster team (20FTE)

Besides selling the Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, you will also have an important role in selling and promoting ijVENUES (3rd largest venue of Amsterdam) and all related exciting developments such as opening our new boutique hotel in The Hague.
