For the Kimpton De Witt Hotel we are looking for an IT Coordinator!
WHAT WILL I ACTUALLY BE DOING?
You’re are the conductor of our orchestra, making sure all our IT and computer systems work in harmony with each other, as well as being passionate, focused and driven about making every guest’s experience ‘ridiculously personal’, making their stay unforgettable, in all the right ways.

Regarding the role, it’s as the job title says really, you are our very own Whizz Kid, techy and proud of it! You are responsible for keeping our systems safe, from hardware to software to network to telephones, and this is where your technical knowledge and visionary nature to exploit new opportunities will truly come into play.
HOW DO YOU WOW OUR GUESTS?
As an IT Coordinator within the hotel, you are responsible for ensuring to provide the ‘wow’ factor to our guests and colleagues. Specifically for you, this means that guests and colleagues have the systems and security in place. You want to make sure everything is just right and exceeds the guests’ expectations. You are co-responsible for bringing the personal touch to their stay.
You’ll make sure the hotel has the best system security, and we provide our guests and colleagues with a high quality IT service covering all their needs. Yes, we have standards and procedures that everyone in the team has to follow, but it’s down to you to make our guests’ stay special and memorable. You will interact with the colleagues throughout the day, to ensure they have everything they need.
HOW DO YOU SHOW YOU GENUINELY CARE ABOUT YOUR COLLEAGUES?
You need to foster a positive work environment across all the teams and ensure you display your personality and creativity, whilst adhering to the standards.
You will provide clear communication to everyone and respect them all as individuals. We’re all a bit different, but that’s why you’re here, we love your individuality.
You will train your colleagues on all the systems we use, and there are quite a few of them. They look to you for help and guidance as the expert. You’ll work across all the departments making sure updates are carried out at the best times and their systems are fully maintained.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THE HOTEL SUCCESSFUL?
You will be totally on top of your policies and procedures, particularly security and emergency procedures.
You need to ensure everything in the hotel is in working order by protecting and enhancing the value of all hotel assets through appropriate programs in maintenance, protection and upgrades.
You’ll have plans in place to cover all risks and downtime that we may have to deal with. You’ll need to ensure everyone in the hotel is aware of these plans by using your communication skills so that everyone fully understands what they need to do. Also, what they can do to help you in your role in identifying risks and security breaches, we all need to play a part in this role.
You need to continually review what’s working and what’s not working within your area and drive improvements and make changes as and when they are needed.

Please note that you must be able to prove your eligibility to work in The Netherlands.
College or Bachelor’s degree in IT-Management, Engineering, Research or a combination of school and experience. We would love it if you have worked in a similar position already, but it’s not a necessity. Experience with Opera and IHG systems is an advantage. It is your passion to create unique and personalized experiences, you can set priorities and you have excellent communicative skills. Speaks and writes fluent English, another language is always a plus.
